The education section has many sections, currently or planned. The current section is the Basic Transesophageal (Basic TEE) section and the Advanced Transesophageal Section (Basic & Advanced TEE). The Basic TEE section is intended for non-cardiac anesthesiologists for the requirements of the ASA for the basic Transesophageal Echocardiography skills. The Advanced TEE section, which includes an expanded Basic Transesophageal section, is intended for cardiac anesthesiologists, cardiologists, cardiovascular fellows, and residents on their cardiac rotation to futher their knowledge in Transesopahgeal Echocardiography.

Each chapter of each section combines rich images and videos in-line with the text with references and plenty of examples. If you want to see more examples there are plenty of cases in the echo atlas. Each chapter is organized to start with the basic concepts of that chapter and advances to the more advanced concepts and clinical application.The whole section is organized such that the chapters start with basic concepts and build upon those concepts to the more advanced chapters and advanced clinical applicaton. Each chapter has an associated CME exam that you can get CMEs after you pass the exam. The videos and images can be downloaded right from the chapter or the atlas for you to use in your powerpoint lectures. It is an easy download, unzip, drop into the slide apporach. There is even a help section to show you how to drop a video into a slide and make it play when the slide is visible or only when you click on it.

Other sections of the Edcuation Section are a work in progress. The other sections that are planned to be completed in the future include a basic and advanced section on transthoracic echocardiography, ultrasound for regional anesthesia, and ultrasound for invasive lines.

Other educational opportunities are the Case Review, currently the Case of the Month and Echo of the Day. If you are a subscriber you can look at the current and past cases and echoes and be part of an email list. If you are not a subscriber, you can only look at the current case or echo of the day. CMEs may be available for theses sections.
