Newsletter  -  January 2007

  Welcome

You are a valued member of the e-echocardiography.com community.  This Newsletter will be our way of communicating with you on a monthly basis. Don't forget to look in the What's New Section to find what's new between monthly newsletters. We have been busy updating and improving the website over the past few months.  We appreciate your patience as we work out some glitches in the registration and subscription process. Thank you. For those of you attending the Annual TEE Comprehensive Review Course in San Diego , come see us at our display booth. Hope to see you there!

New Chapter Added – Tricuspid Valve

The Tricuspid Valve Chapter will be online by the end of January, if not sooner. It will be worth 3 CME credits (51 total CME credits).   Learn how to assess the TV with the standard and modified views and diagnose the severity of TR and TS.  The Pulmonary Valve is scheduled for release in March. Stay tuned for more....

Featured Section - CASE OF THE WEEK–

This NEW Section was added to post unusual or interesting cases of educational value. The videos are posted on the home page with a brief description.  The cases are presented as an “unknown” to maximize the educational value and to stimulate discussion on the FORUM section of the website. The link to the Discussion Forum is also in this section. At first, each case will be posted on a monthly basis and as more cases accumulate they will appear on a weekly basis.  If you have interesting cases, please email us at jlsi@jlsi.net . If we are able to use them in our website, we will add additional time to your subscription.

  Tech Tip

Did you know .... footnotes in the syllabus text are noted as the “e” icon.  When the icon is clicked, the citations appear from the Reference Section of the website. If abstracts are available, click on “abstract” and view the Pub Med abstract.  If a book is referenced, clicking on the “e” icon will take you to the reference section showing the book citation.  If you are interested in purchasing the book for further reading, click on the far right picture of the book and order it through Amazon.com.

  User Comments

Let us know what you think of the website - what you like, what you don't like, what you would like to see us add.  From time to time we add additional subscription time for those comments that are valuable to all the users.  With your permission we would like to post these comments for everyone to see.

  Thanks.
