| Dear Users, |
| We would like to welcome Dr. Solomon Aronson and Dr. Robert Savage to the editorial list. As E-echocardiography completes the intermediate section and starts on the advanced section, the advanced section will draw heavily on these two leaders expertise in echocardiography. |
| The update to the subscription service is finished! The new subscription service allows for users to register, subscribe (cme or non-cme), or upgrade their subscription. The service also allows for online group subscriptions. If your subscription is about to expire or has expired, please re-subscribe to e-echocardiography to take advantage of the new sections. |
| A Forum Discussion section has been added. You can view or add forum posts to those categories and topics that interest you. You can edit your own posts. If you find a good post – give that person some positive feedback by clicking on their heart to give them a good, great, or excellent rating. You can access the forum section from a link on the toolbar. |
| E-echocardiography has added Case of the Week. The case of the week will be a set of interesting videos and a discussion in the forum section will allow you to participate and teach or learn about unusual or interesting problems. The first Case of the Week will last the month of December until we can load the que up with cases. The first case is an aortic dissection case that had a persistent false lumen AFTER the repair. Take a look and give us your thoughts. |
| Interested in other's opinions? Take the Poll and see the results of the poll. The first poll question is about how users rate atherosclerosis and what they do about it. |
| The home page will show Recent Additions to the Video Database. Over the next year we will be looking to make a large contribution to the echo database in both numbers of videos and in the types of videos that people are usually looking for – the rare or unexpected videos. The video database has a smattering of good videos but is heavily weighted towards the basic and intermediate videos that were required for the basic and intermediate sections. We have over 1000 more videos in the que – we just need the time to update them and put them in the database. |
| In the syllabus area we added Page Comments. Page comments allow the user to add their thought to a particular page. If you have a scholarly comment please add your comment to the page. These comments may be edited as page comments cannot contain any references to a drug or manufacturer or a particular piece of equipment that would violate the CME rules for the syllabus area. Since everyone has some unique perspective, idea, experience, or expertise please add your comments so others can learn. |
Check the What's New Section – we have added a couple of new formulas and diameter pages. |
| Do you have echo technologists at your institution? E-echocardiography now offers SDMS CME credits for echo technologists. Echo technologists can subscribe to e-echocardiography and receive up to 48 CME SDMS approved credits! Welcome to e-echocardiography echo technologists! |
