Browser Issues

This site is best viewed with the latest versions of web browsers. We strive for supporting Internet Explorer and Netscape Navigator, version 4 or greater. To adequately view this site you will need a recent browser and it's plugin for animations and videos. All browsers and plugins used in this website are free downloads.

Look below to see if you meet the minimum requirements for using Microsoft Internet Explorer.

Microsoft Internet Explorer, version 5 or greater requires the ActiveX plugin to view the quicktime files. Download and install the Quicktime ActiveX plugin.
e-Echocardiography uses embeded QuickTime files. All of the video files are in Apple's QuickTime( ©2001) format with Sorenson 3 compression which requires version 5.02 of Quicktime. Please download and update to the latest version of QuickTime. You do not need QuickTime Pro. Just download the QuickTime Player.
Animations are in the Flash or Shockwave format. The latest Flash Player, version 5, can be downloaded from Macromedia. The latest version of the shockwave player can also be downloaded from Macromedia.

Some of the links are Adobe Acrobat (*.pdf) files. Adobe Acrobat files are viewable with Adobe's Reader. These files are useful as a downloadable or viewable file that contains information in a "book" format. To open the file you must have Acrobat Reader installed. Just view the file in your browser or download it and click on it to view the file. This is a free download from Adobe.
This site is best viewed with a screen resolution of 1024x768. The absolute minimum resolution is 800x600. If the screen resolution is smaller than 800x600 you will not be able to view the whole page. The screen should also be set to view thousands (16 bit) colors or more.
