Atlas of Perioperative Echocardiography  (CDROM)  
Atlas of Perioperative Echocardiography has some videos (Windows Media) and images of normal and abnormal transesophageal echocardiography scans. Along with the scan is some text, usually referenced about the disease in the scan. Dr. D.A. Pybus has quite a few scans, although some can only be found on the Atlas of Perioperative Echocardiograhy CDROM, for $75. Caution: the order form for the CDROM is in a frameset which does not show that it is a secure ordering system (no secure icon shows up) which can be the result of being buried in a frameset or it isn't a secure ordering system. The images, text, and videos are nice. The videos are very large, so use a very fast connection. |

EchoWeb (Echotechnologists Only)
EchoWeb is a website that has multiple course in echocardiography with SDMS credit. It plans to have over 70 courses for at least 70 SDMS credits. The courses are echotechnologist centric. Physician CME credits are not available. Each credit is $22, $20 for students. The website is currently underconstruction. When completed, the total cost of the website will be $1000+. When I reviewed the website freebies, no videos were present, the graphics were basic, the text consisted mainly of definitions. I assume the courses that cost $$ are better. |
